lodging

Breakfasts and lunches during the workweek will be covered as well as transportation costs for field trips. Housing is provided for during the course of the excavation and crewmembers are free to stay at the facilities during the weekends.  The crew will be housed at Camping Lisboa in bungalow suites.  The bungalows are equipped with full-kitchens so crewmembers can make their own dinners. A major supermarket is located just 10 minutes, by foot, from the camping area. (Note: the bungalows are not tents but buildings.) Camping Lisboa offers free access to their pools from the morning until 10:00 p.m. The facility is located in Monsanto park and has buses that frequent the site every 20 minutes or so. The main bus lines give visitors easy access to downtown Lisbon, Belém, Cascais and the main rail station which connects to Sintra. Visit the website to see more info...
